Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden, Tai Po Environmental Association and the Star Ferry will organize the LOHAS Square - growFOOD@home as the theme for August & September at the Central Star Ferry Pier (no.7). growFOOD@home integrates green messages, art together with full of fun. As Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, LOHAS Square will organize a lantern DIY workshop and ice-mooncake making demonstration which people can know the traditional wisdom and learn how to eat in a healthier way.
LOHAS Sqaure encourages people to take actions to pledge for cutting down daily CO2 emission. LOHAS Square is a good place for you and your family. Free admission, come & join us! (Please click HERE to download the Program Schedule)

LOHAS Green Diet ─ Organic Farmers' Market@Central
Nowadays, people switch to a more healthy dietary. By following the trend of "eat less meat", organic farm produces is in great demand. Without adding any chemical pesticide and chemical fertiliser, organic farm produces are good to the consumers, the farmers as well as to the Earth. Organic Farm produces are available in many markets, however, most of them are imported from foreign countries. The indirect CO2 emission regarding long distance food transport is very high, thus intensify climate change.
You can choose your favourite vegetables
& fruits from over 10 organic farm booths.
To concern about both the earth and our health, buying local organic farm produces is the best option. Our Organic Farmers' Market@Central held on every Sunday allow you to choose your favourite farm produces among over 10 local organic farms. It provides an convenience way for everone to get access to fresh organic food. Come and buy some farm produces on this Sunday.

Growing your own pot plants is
easy, fun and economical.
growFOOD@home is another option for obtaining organic food. Although spaces in Hong Kong is limited, you can also try to grow your own edible pot plants at home provided that you got adequate sunshine and time to take care of the plants.
You can enjoy a dish with your edible pot plant which is organic and full of your love. LOHAS Square will organize growFOOD@home on 19 September 2010. Grow your own Herb Workshop will be held during the carnival, simple food demonstration will be introduced. LOHAS Square is a good Family event, come and join us to combat against climate change!
LOHAS Square - Green Art Centre
Although we learn many environmental issues from news and books, it will be more meaningful to take certain concrete actions in solving the environmental problems. LOHAS Square Carnival held on Every 3rd Sunday is a good learning platform for all ages, you and your kids should enjoy it very much.

One Tonne Challenge - LOHAS environmentally friendly station
Peak oil, saturation of landfill area and climate change are hot problems that everyone should face, we need to find flesible solution to cope with the root cause. One Tonne Challenge Campaign provide interactive learning platform on every 3rd Sunday of each month, you are invited to join for transiting to a low carbon liestyle.

Organizing every Sunday at Star Ferry Central Pier, “LOHAS Square @ Central” is the first public platform in Hong Kong promoting the Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability. Through a fair-trade market and education platform featuring local production for local consumption, LOHAS Square @ Central aims to promote local resilience on economy, community development, environmental conservation and healthy living. The Square facilitates cooperation between NGOs, social enterprise, conservation groups, self-employed artist, local organic farmers and consumers to jointly develop a collaborative community to enhance sustainability, health and happiness in our everyday life. LOHAS Square @ Central is a whole day programme running from 11am to 5pm.
