Organic Farming Beginner Course (for Community Groups)
This 1-day course is designed to equip participants with basic knowledge and practical skills to work as a group to grow food in harmony with nature. Through talks, group-discussion, field practice and demonstration, participants will learn how to start growing their own food in different situations.
Content |
- The link between sustainable living and agriculture
- Organic farming principle, food production and environment
- Basic farming techniques
- Field planting and pot planting
- Introduction to soil conservation, composting, disease and pest control and culture of seedlings
- Ways to support sustainable agriculture in Hong Kong

Self-organized community groups which are interested to grow their own food (age of participants should be 15 or above) / Minimum from 20 to a maximum of 50 (participants should be accompanied by at least 1 leader) |
